About me

I recently completed an internship with HBW Resources, a Public Relations firm specializing in energy and government relations. There, I wrote and edited consumer-facing communications across multiple teams, including the company’s nonprofit organization. I plan to use this experience to step into environmental science as a writer and editor.

Before I became a writer, I was a full-time English Language Arts teacher in Texas. I led a variety of classrooms across multiple grade levels, often teaching two different grades each year. As a teacher, my favorite lessons revolved around the writing process. I loved helping students plan, draft, and edit their writing. Since leaving education, my love for writing has not wavered. Now, I plan to use the experience I gained from teaching and the skills I refined during my master's program to pursue a career in professional writing and editing.
